Otkriveni je veliki sigurnosni nedostatak u IE pregledniku ( verzije 6-11 ) pa je čak i Homeland security u USA preporučio svima u Americi da ne koriste IE dok se ne izda patch koji to popravlja:

Neki elektronski servisi FINAe kao npr. dostava godisnjih fin.izvjesca je moguca jedino putem IE i u Microsoft excelu. Razni knjigovodstveni programi isto rade samo s Windowsima. Linux, open org i sl. su neupotrebljivi u poslovne svrhe.
